I was ready to give up breastfeeding, but thanks to your care and support I have continued and now enjoy it. 4th April 2019 I can't recommend or thank Mary Clare enough. |

Mary Clare diagnosed a tongue tie when my daughter was 4 1/2 weeks old. Feeding had been very painful and she was not putting on weight. It made a difference straight away, but took some time for the baby to learn to feed well. I went on to feed her for 10 months. Breastfeeding - from Pain to Pleasure Keep Asking... Hi Mary Clare, As a second time mum, that had breastfed her first baby for 12 months, it was assumed that I would have the breastfeeding thing sorted, so I was very disappointed when I struggled to feed my second baby. It was suggested that I contact Mary Clare to see if she could help me latch my wee girl on and get her feeding. On our first appointment Mary Clare found that our baby was tongue-tied and that that was why she was not feeding well. After explaining to us what that meant and how we could resolve it, Mary Clare gently sorted our baby out and with some help and follow-up visits before we knew it we were feeding successfully. If Mary Clare had not come around to see us and then been there to help and offer words of encouragement our girl would have been a bottle feed baby and I would have missed the joy of being able to breastfeed her. I would, and do, recommend Mary Clare to anyone having troubles, she is the best. I always knew I wanted to breastfeed so when I had difficulty I was devastated. Mary Clare had such confidence that it could all be fixed and become enjoyable. I put faith in her belief and experience. She was right! I was able to feed Sophie in lots of weird and wonderful places that I would never have imagined would have been possible before you came to see me. I was hating breastfeeding and wanting to give up, but now I can see myself carrying on for sometime. Thank-You. I never anticipated having problems breastfeeding. I thought it would just happen. I was so glad someone told me of your service. The feeding is going much better with virtually no pain. My baby has gained weight well. I feel so encouraged. Thanks to your care and support to overcome the challenges I have been enabled to breastfeed my baby. It is so helpful to have someone skilled come into my home and help me one on one. |
